Hola, Hola!

I was originally assigned to the Sports section at Texas Wesleyan University’s college newspaper The Rambler  as  a contributing photographer. I loved taking photos of campus life but reporting on Sports was not my forté. I love telling stories, but in what way? Then my editor said “Hey, you’re always eating, why don’t you write about Food.” So came the column ‘The Long-Lasting Lancaster Lick’, which explored hole-in-the-wall restaurants up and down Lancaster Avenue in Fort Worth. It was an instant hit.

The column ended when my college career was over, but Instagram quickly became the new social platform, and for the past 10 years I’ve shared hidden gems across Fort Worth through photos and micro captions. For the past few years friends and family have recommended that I start a designated page for all my foodie finds but I was hesitant and frankly a little nervous to put myself out there like that. On March 13, 2021, I launched Pero Like, Let’s Eat! A small space on Instagram where anyone can visit and discover new-to-them eateries.

With the launch of Pero Like, Let’s Eat came a really cool full circle moment. A sweet friend of mine contacted me and was excited to share her new venture and wanted to know if I’d like to be a part of it as a contributing foodie for Fort Worth’s new magazine, One To Know. Ten years after leaving my column behind, I will again be contributing to another publication.

I’m a wife and mom to two beautiful children, one being my daughter who equally shares my passion for food. I work full time and am currently pursuing my masters degree. I’m in constant pursuit of the next best thing and love keeping our lives busy!

I want this website to be an extension of my Instagram but also a portfolio of my writings and sneak peeks of what’s to come for One To Know Magazine. This collaborative space is for you and me to connect over food. Feel free to reach out and share your new discoveries, and be sure to subscribe to stay in the know of all my new adventures!

Buen Provecho!
